Bonjour, Mon Cheri! And a Turtle. And Us.

Oh, how are you!?

I've missed popping on here so much! So much life, so much living! God is good all the time. So many things to record and remember...Oh, first I'm gonna throw on here a picture that I've been wanting to catch for years-a turtle crossing the road. So now I give you The Crossing with a laugh and twinkle because I'm so tickled with it!Isn't he a joy!? Poor speciman. And he did make it across. :D
And here's the Michael Morton Sr. family in a recent family photo session...(See, how little we've gotten!?) And how huge we've gotten!! Here's the whole clan, March, 2012. I think the happiest time in the world to me is when these people are all on the same spot of earth.
And here's a few more of Poison. (that eloquent and complimentary name was given to the terrified beast by one of the grandsons on being told that his shell had poison on it. Hence the name, dearie!) Isn't he beautiful? In a strange sort of way. God is such an incredible Creator!!

Well, I bid thee adieu.

Much love,

Adeline

P.S. It is raining outside, and it is beautiful and it smells like memories...Love you, and looking forward to putting up more memories soon! Good afternoon.

Ah, the poor little reptilian testudine. Glad he safely made his trek across the road. What cute photos.
If I counted correctly, there are 12 Morton children and 13 (soon to be 14) grandchildren. Wonderful!
We look forward to meeting you all soon.

Blessings,

Victoria

What a great post, sweet Adeline . . .

Our family has a fondness for turtles. Lee is always the one to pull over on the side of the road and get out to help turtles get across the highway. :)

As for the family photos . . .
what a treat! Now we have an updated Morton family photo for our refrigerator collection!

Thank you so much for sharing!

Love you,
Mrs. Beth

What sort of turtle is that, that it has poison on the shell? Never heard of a turtle like that here in the north.

Hope all of you Mortons are having a wonderful spring!

Hello Adeline!

So good to see a HUGE family photo.
Your family truly is growing.

I have always been fascinated with turtles and you
have now launched me on a hunt to photograph
one of my own.

Have a blessed week!

I'm a French and I just came across your blog. :) Loved the turtle. ^^

By the way, you should only use "mon chéri" when you talk to one single male person. In your case it would be better to say "mes chéris" (then we are all included ;)). Just a hint. :)

Do you speak French or other languages?

Thanks so much, dear friends! Hope to see you all soon!

Oh, and about that wonderful turtle-someone told me that, when I was little, so I've always scrubbed my hands after playing with them...maybe they were referring to the possibility of salmonella? Anyway, better safe then sorry. Aren't they spectacular, though!?

Dear French Anonymous,

Oh, thank you! You are wonderful. From now on I shall use 'mes chéris' for all our dear readers. You're too kind. Oh! That is so.so. awesome that you're from France! Where in France do you live? How I would love to visit your country...we Americans are quite enamored with with your beautiful language and the grace with which you're known for. I'm dabbling in French (but as you can see) have much to learn, but am having a wonderful time doing it. Thanks again and have a wonderful day!

Too funny about the turtle crossing. My kids always want me to stop and help them out of the road when we see one like that!!

Love the pic of everyone like that! What an awesome thing for sure!!

I'm from Tours, which is located in the Loire Valley. :) I think, you would absolutely love it, the Valley is famous for its "châteaux" (castles) and beautiful villages and towns. Paris isn't far. :)

Last year, I spent two weeks in Savannah, Georgia (we have some distant relatives there). It was such a great vacation.
Have you been outside the USA?

Bonjour Adeline !
Another of your (long time) french reader delurking to say hi !
I am from Burgundy, another place of old stones and castles, living in the very medieval city of Dijon -you sure would like it too !.
It's a delight to have through your blog a very different insight of America than what we are used to being shown , so keep going ! Amicalement
