...once more...of the goodness of God in giving His own Son as the perfect blood sacrifice, to redeem me, and clothe me in His righteousness. He loved me first, yes, even before I loved Him. His love is overwhelming.
And Autumn.
Golden afternoon sunlight streaming through open windows and the sound of children outside.
A quiet house. Supper bubbling. God's help in a mental battle. His strength when we have none. Soft grass.
A Father and his sons gathered in the living room, talking to God, together.
Two of the most beautiful nephews in the world who make your eyes sparkle because you are so in love with them and their tiny, helpless selves. Their newborn cries are like the music of life, and it is breathtaking.
The promptness of a Nikon tech. rep. and the anguish over that camera with an illness when one has had two brand new babies born. And one of the most special weekend retreats I've ever been to with some of the most precious people in the world there. Pictures are not essential elements to beloved memories, I have to remind myself, but love is, and it has been, so real, and so present. That has been what makes it all so incredible.
The love of Christ, and of His Body.
I love John 17, when Jesus knelt in a garden and prayed for you (if you're His) and me. He asked His Father to "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth."*
Yes, Lord Jesus.
Sanctify us through thy truth: thy word is truth.
Jesus Christ, the lover of my soul, my delight, and my righteousness.
"For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us." **
Blessed be His name.
I hope you are well today.
His love,
Adeline
*(John 17, 17)
**(Psalm 103, 12 & 11)
P.S. Hopefully I can get my camera fixed soon and shall be back to posting! Love to all...and I can hardly wait for Thanksgiving day!
