Hymn Sing at the D.'s

One weekend this past December we had the great joy of going to a Christmas party at the home of the D. family-what a wonderful time of fellowship and singing we had! They had made piles of incredible homemade cookies, had tons of delicious food and refreshing punch waiting for us all when we came tumbling in. Ah, everything was so lovely!

We had a time of visiting and feasting, and then enjoyed singing the evening away together. After the singing, the D.'s gave each family a big bag filled with all sorts of wintery comforts and their favorite family game. (we have been enjoying the contents nearly every day since then ! :)
What an incredible blessing the Body of Christ is!! Greeting each other and partaking of the sustenance... :)Visiting

I thought this was precious how Jo sat right down next to the men and listened to them for a bit.
Ah-I believe he's spotted something of interest to his little gadget-loving brain, LOL.Utilizing what ever instruments were available. :D (K., I love your pink, by the way:)I shall end with a picture of our lovely hostess.

Our dear GrandDaddy came as Father Time, our clock watcher. :) Or, Grandfather Clock, as some child called him, LOL.
Precious People-how I love them!!! And all the sounds these redeemed people make. People sounds are so good. Babies crying and cooing, folks laughing, singing, feet shuffling, beautiful music they turn on, eating (but not smacking, LOL) talking, moving-ah!! Looking forward to making lots of it on New Years!!"Until then, my friends!"

Go here and scroll all the way down for more pictures (on a friend's blog) of the proceedings last year. :)

Thanksgiving Recap Part 3

Hello, dears!!

The Thanksgiving weekend goes on!
Trying to snitch leftover brownies and cake, gracefully. :)Thanks Alan, for downloading us lots of new music! (Esther is so darling!)Frank-O and the kittySweetnessCleve was so sweet and obliged all of us girls and the little boys, who wanted to go on a hay ride, by driving the tractor for us...there was no hay, so we used quilts instead, LOL. Above is "his staff, a hundred yards behind, trying to catch up." ;D They wanted to run and hop on, so here they are, doing so. Almost there. :) Gabby
We brought along Cleve's guitar and sang carols-mainly The Little Drummer Boy, LOL. That was our song!
Cleveland
Andrew riding shotgun. In a way... :D
That night we all bundled up and went to our county courthouse, where they have a magnificent lights display. The lights are turned on at dust every year on Thanksgiving night, and the whole of our little town shows up for the singing, hot chocolate, the rides, the beautiful, twinkling lights, and the window shopping that surrounds the courthouse. We have so much fun with it.
Our cousin's delightful antique store. Here we are begging to be let in out of the cold. Martha is shown here, utilizing her last resort of scratching the window panes... (No, I'm kidding. :D)It's always so wonderful to meet up with old friends!! Here's Katie and one of her dear childhood buddy's, showing each other their babies. :D
Some incredible handmade tree ornaments. Check out the details on these!!
