Weekend Retreat, November '09

Hey y'all!

Hope you had a blessed day of thanksgiving!! Ours was just-incredibly wonderful. We have so, so much to be thankful for. Thank You, Lord!! We had the dear Smithie, Campana and Smithie II families with us, and also the two other Morton families here on the farm, and also our precious grandparents, GrandDaddy and Nana. It was such a refreshing time together.

The dear Campana's are here now, and we're having a ball!! We get to keep them 'till Sunday, Lord willing. :D Ah. Delicious.

And now, pictures from the other weekend! And what a blessed weekend it was. Praise the Lord for such precious times together!!

Alrighty: now presenting, The Grand Collage!!
Pizza, anyone? We had some folks come in Thursday and Friday afternoon (I love it when people come 'sooner'!!) but most of the crowd arrived that evening. :) As you can see, pizza was our choice of food. And lots of it, LOL.

The remnants of 'ze feast!
Wesley and Rachel were so sweet and opened up their cozy home down the lane to all the girls-Rach was so wonderful and had goodies piled high with chilled root beers and lit candles for us when we came stumbling in at 1:00 or 2:00 am. We felt so loved on and were super comfy and warm! Bless you both, darlings.
The aforementioned candles.

Looks like your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I was wondering if the ladies at your house might be going to the Mother/Daughter Tea in Newnan with author Stacy McDonald and her daughter Tiffany? If you are, maybe we'll get to meet.

Dear Victoria: I was not aware of the Mother/Daughter tea in Newnan with Stacy McDonald. It sounds like a delightful time. Could you fill us in on the details of this opportunity? (I checked her blog, but did not see any info.) Thanks! (Just for clarity, this post was of a conference we hosted at our farm before Thanksgiving. Adeline will post the Thanksgiving pics soon, I hope. Thanks for stopping by. )

You can check the GHEA website or go to www.sechristianhomediscipleshipfamilies.blogspot.com. They have a link to Stacy's website there too but the conference information is on their website or GHEA's.
I did realize the pictures weren't from Thanksgiving but am looking forward to seeing how your precious family celebrated. Thanks for sharing.

P.S. You will need to scroll down to the Nov. 2 posting for the official information on their website or go to the sidebar for the information on the GHEA website. It's officially called the Mother/Daughter Winter Encouragement. It's a two-day conference in late January. The second day includes the afternoon tea. There are also sessions with the McDonalds, craft times and also lunch and dinner. Hope that helps.
